A message from Dr Stokes:
Dear Families of Frisco Pediatrics:
After 25 years of practicing pediatrics in Frisco, I will be retiring on February 12, 2023. As you know, I have loved being your family’s pediatrician and as much as I would love to continue that, my husband wants me to join him in retirement.
Thank you so much for the opportunity to serve you all these years. I am very pleased to announce that the office will remain open with our current staff, including Lauren. On February 15, 2023 they will join Cook Children’s Physician Network and will be renamed Cook Children’s Pediatrics – Parkwood. My hope is that you will continue to allow Lauren and the new physician, Dr Karen Evans, to serve you going forward.
Karen Evans, MD, graduated from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. She completed her residency at LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans where she also served as Pediatric Chief Resident. She is relocating from her current practice in Denton to be closer to her home in Prosper and to become a part of this wonderful community. She will ensure seamless coverage following my retirement and she and Lauren will continue the care of your child or children. Your current Frisco Pediatrics records will be available to Dr Evans so it will be easy for you to just call our regular number (972-335-4444) and schedule an appointment.
If you choose a physician other than Cook Children’s Pediatrics – Parkwood, you will need to call the office to request that your medical records be transferred.
I have been honored and privileged to be your pediatrician. Thank you for all our years together. I will miss you.
